Privacy Policy

Introduction

We understand the importance of protecting your privacy online. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. It applies to all services offered by Resulti and complies with PIPEDA (Canada) and the GDPR (European Union).

Resulti’s infrastructure is securely hosted in Malmö, Sweden, within the European Economic Area (EEA).

Information Collected

We do not collect personal information such as names, emails, or search history. We do not track users or create personal profiles. Our operations are privacy-first and data-minimal.

How do we see visits to the site?

We do not use analytics or tracking tools. No IP addresses, cookies, or behavioral data are collected by Resulti.org during normal use.

If a malicious attempt or attack targets our backend systems, we may temporarily log limited technical data (for example IP addresses and timestamps) solely for the purpose of investigation and protection. This applies only to backend systems, not the public Resulti.org site. Any such data is deleted after the security review is complete.

About the services integrated in Resulti

Brave, PriEco, and Staan (our result providers) are privacy-respecting services.

All result data from these providers is proxied through Resulti’s own server. When you use Resulti, your browser connects only to Resulti.org. Requests to the providers are made internally by our backend and the responses are served to you under our own domain.

This setup ensures that your IP address and any identifying data are never shared with Brave, PriEco, or Staan. After all, prevention is better than cure, even when dealing with privacy-focused providers.

All proxying and data processing occur exclusively on Resulti’s server located in Malmö, Sweden. No user data leaves Sweden or the European Economic Area (EEA).

These integrations comply with the principles of data minimization and privacy by design as required by the GDPR and PIPEDA.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

In rare cases where limited technical data (e.g., IP logs) is processed, Resulti relies on:
- Legitimate Interest: to ensure the security and integrity of Resulti’s services.
- Legal Obligation: to comply with lawful investigations or regulatory requests.

We do not process data for marketing, advertising, or analytics.

Cookies

Resulti only uses essential cookies required for the correct functioning of the site. These include settings such as UI preferences or cache stored locally by your browser to improve performance.

Resulti never uses cookies for analytics, advertising, or user tracking. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser:
- Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Site Settings > Cookies and site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Options > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies
- Brave: Settings > Cookies and other site data
- Tor: Click the broom icon or restart the browser

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and the GDPR, you have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Access to and correction of your personal data (if any is ever collected)
- The right to request deletion or anonymization
- The right to restrict or object to processing

Because Resulti does not normally collect personal information, these rights are rarely applicable. However, any valid privacy-related request will be handled promptly.

Data Retention and Security

We do not retain any personal information from normal operation. Temporary technical logs collected during security events are stored only as long as necessary for investigation and then permanently deleted or anonymized.

Resulti implements reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. In the unlikely event of a breach involving personal information, we will comply with applicable notification requirements under PIPEDA and the GDPR.

International Data Location and Transfers

Resulti’s server is hosted in Sweden (Malmö), within the European Economic Area (EEA). All processing therefore occurs within the jurisdiction of the European Union, under the protections of the GDPR.

If limited technical data is ever accessed or processed from outside the EEA (for example, by authorized administrators in Canada), equivalent privacy protections and safeguards will apply to ensure compliance with both PIPEDA and GDPR.
